A LOCAL HTML INSPECTOR

Test a selector against a snippet.

Paste a small representative fragment · processed locally

Uses your browser's CSS selector support. XPath is not supported.

Paste HTML and a selector, or try the example.

Matches

    How it works

    1. Paste a representative HTML snippet. 2. Enter a CSS selector such as article h2 or .price. 3. Review the match count and extracted text. All processing stays in this browser tab.

    Good to know

    What selectors are supported?

The tool uses the browser's querySelectorAll implementation, so standard CSS selectors supported by your browser work. XPath and scraping-specific pseudo-selectors are not supported.

Does it fetch or execute the HTML?

No. You must paste the HTML. It is parsed locally with DOMParser; scripts are not run, and matches are shown as text rather than inserted as live markup.

    Can this scrape a website?

No. It does not fetch pages, handle logins, run JavaScript-rendered sites, or collect data from a website. It helps check selectors against a snippet you already have.

    Is it free?

Yes, during beta. Optional usage-credit plans are coming soon. Payments are not available and no credits are required.
