What this lookup checks
Choose one Common Crawl collection and search for an exact URL. Each result shows the capture date, recorded HTTP status, and media type. “Open this crawl’s archived page” uses that collection’s timegate; a requested page may not replay successfully even when its index record exists.
This checks one collection at a time and returns up to 100 records. It is an index lookup, not a live-site checker, a complete web archive, or a guarantee that page content is available. A missing result means no exact match was returned for that collection and URL. Page updated November 3, 2026.
Good to know
Does a missing result prove the page was never archived?
No. It only means the selected collection returned no exact URL match. Try another collection and check the URL spelling, scheme, and trailing slash.
Does this retrieve the archived page contents?
No. The lookup shows index metadata and links to Common Crawl’s replay timegate. Availability of the archived page depends on the crawl record and replay service.
Is my URL sent to this site?
No. Your browser sends the lookup directly to Common Crawl’s public index API. Common Crawl’s service handles the request.
Can this check whether a page is online now?
No. It searches a past crawl index. It does not request the current page from its website.
Is it free?
Yes, during beta. Optional usage-credit plans are coming soon. Payments are not available and no credits are required.
